In the aftermath of Jesus’ death and resurrection, one man played an outsized role in the radical growth of Christianity. His name was Peter. It wasn’t his position, his wealth, or his education that produced his influence, rather, it was his stories. He was an eyewitness of Jesus of Nazareth, a man of miracles who turned the Jewish world upside down with his wild claim that he was the Son of God. Peter’s stories were chronicled by his friend Mark who wrote them down while visiting Peter in prison. Following Jesus had cost Peter everything. It also became the driving force of his life. In this sermon series we will investigate the life of Jesus through the eyes of Peter, the disciple who had a front row seat as he witnessed the Greatest story ever told.
