Christmas Gifts for the King County Detention Center

Christmas Gifts for the King County Detention Center

For over 15 years every young person serving time at the King County Juvenile Detention Center during Christmas has received a gift from Westside Church.

This is a letter one of the kids wrote us last year:
“I want to start by saying God bless you for making my Christmas one I could look forward to and not spend it in sadness and disappointment.  I’m disappointed I put myself in this predicament in the first place, but seeing all those gifts you donated made me think how much people really care for us.  I know I didn’t deserve it but I will always remember this Christmas because of you guys.  I am truly thankful.”

We will be putting together 40 shoebox gifts this year.  The shoeboxes and instructions are in the lobby.  Please follow the instructions exactly.  It’s the only way they allow us to give them wrapped gifts to open.
Let’s show these kids that Somebody Cares!
